Camren Kaanoi Ikaikamaikalani Hemakanaleipunahele Pajimola Kupihe, 25, of Kealakekua died June 16 at Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Hilo. Royden Seichi Imade, 61, of Mountain View died June 14 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a factory worker at Maebo Noodle Factory. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Judith Lee Midgley Kirkendall, Ph.D., 84, of Hilo died July 25 at home. Born in Salt Lake City, she was a historian and anthropologist, dean at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, managed the Peace Corps’ resources in exotic languages and was staff for volunteers teaching in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and a Big Island training officer. She founded the International Institute and Language Bank, wrote “Hawaiian Ethnogastronomy” and was awarded Woman of the Year.
